Handle me gently

For longevity and beauty, I would suggest framing your print as soon as possible. Visit your local framing shop to ask about UV-resistant glass, perspex, and frame options.

  • Prints are packaged in stable, archival materials that keep them safe from dust, moisture, and debris. It’s advisable to keep your print stored in these materials until you hand it over to your framer.

  • Avoid handling your print where possible. Fingerprints can leave marks on the delicate print. If you need to handle your print, be sure to hold it by the margin to avoid scuffing the printed surface. Using one hand on the margin and one hand supporting the centre on the back will ensure you don’t accidentally dent the paper.

  • Never place your print face-down on any surface other than protective films such as glassine or its protective sleeve.

  • This print can last up to 80+ years if it’s treated well and kept in optimal conditions. To get the most out of your print's lifespan, hang it in a cool, dry place that doesn’t receive too much direct sunlight. It’s best to avoid keeping it somewhere with fluctuating humidity and temperatures.
