An art exhibition met a bakery and Sweet Deceit was born. In a tiny, three metre wide bakery four tiny paintings went on display and with them four tasty dishes were offered.

Inspired by a dish sponge with candles jammed in it, Katie Barron and Juanny Tan created a special menu of paintings with paired dishes to be available for one night only. Crowds came, a line was formed, speeches were stumbled through and almost no photos were taken. It is widely considered to be the most successful oil paintings and dessert pairing exhibition extravaganza of Cameron Street during the 2020’s. The future is bright.
